You heard me right.
It has recently come to my attention that someone is recreating Tumblr as we knew it - an all inclusive microblogging platform for ALL communities - under a new name.
The site is called Mojofire. They’re currently in the early development stage, and have begun their indiegogo campaign as of tonight..
This is the message I received from one of the developers (who is a sex-positive sex worker), on my Twitter:“ Need a micro-blogging platform to re-home your content? Myself & a group of devs, financial advisors, & business owners are re-creating what #tumblr was. I’m a #sexpositive SW w/ a web dev background. The #indiegogo starts tonight. Would love to have you http://mojofire.com “

We will have our Tumblr back. Different name, different ownership, but the microblogging platform will be the same kind of sex-positive, inclusive, open, accepting environment we had here before. Without the threat of being censored or banned. Even more comforting is that it’s being developed and run by people who understand the importance of a platform like Tumblr once was, because they’re Tumblr refugees too.
